Welcome
to the Local Vine, Belltown’s latest and greatest! This sexy
new wine bar is owned by Sarah Munson and Allison Nelson, two amazing
women who you wouldn’t expect to have MBA’s from Harvard!
Most places say they are a wine bar, but only offer 5 whites and
5 reds by the glass. Serving more than 100 wines by the glass, they
have many affordable options as well as cult wines such as Screaming
Eagle for almost $500 a glass. The wine list features many Northwest
options but also integrates a wide array of wines from around the
world.
One
of the best elements of The Local Vine is they serve a full menu
until closing (2 am) – which includes a variety of small plates
perfect for nibbling while sipping, all originally designed by one
of Seattle’s hottest chefs, Jason Wilson from Crush! The menu
changes seasonally and focuses on local food and produce.

the soothing gas fireplace. I find it a nice alternative to the
packed bars and clubs in Belltown. I don’t think I have been
in there without enjoying the lovely company of Sarah, who must
live in the back as she’s always there! If you’re nice,
she might give you a small taste before you commit to a glass, and
she’s happy offer her insight into the myriad of wines they
have to offer.
The
Local is offering a regular series of tasting and educational events!
I encourage you to stop by and enjoy the wines, the room, and the
gracious staff soon. And if you found something you love, buy one
